Centauria Public Library
1204 Grover Way
Centauria, IL 33134
For Immediate Release
Beginning Wednesday, June 22rd local experts will flock to the Centauria Public Library in order to help adults plan an unforgettable summer for themselves and their family. Dubbed 'Customize Your Summer' the series consists of four different programs a month throughout the summer with each program offered Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in addition to Thursday mornings 10 to 11 am. Centauria Librarians have scheduled the Customize Your Summer events in conjunction with children's summer reading activities to accommodate the interests of parents and guardians already at the library. The library assures, however, that younger adults and those without children will have plenty to gain from attending any of the Customize Your Summer programs. The first event, Summer Staycation, promises to make attendees aware of the local gems in and around Centauria so that individuals and families on a budget can plan an amazing trip without breaking the bank. The Succulent Summer program looks to whet your appetite as members of the Lee University Culinary Arts Department visit the library to share secrets for making the perfect summer meal, BBQ, or picnic. Local financial superstar Rachel Ruiz will stop by the following week to offer her advice for partaking in 'Savvy Saving for Summer.' The first set of programs in the Customize Your Summer program will be capped by a Style Swap during which community members can bring in old wardrobes and leave with a new summer style. In addition to the program activities, Centauria promises to provide an enticing raffle item at each event. Raffle entry is free to all attendees. The program itself is also free to all members of the Centauria community. Centauria Public Library is a community hub for informational, social, and technological cooperation dedicated to supporting Centauria and its many voices. It is located at 1204 Grover Way in Centauria.
